At first I just enjoyed learning all about how things worked. When I got to university I started to understand that we still do know everything and at some point, you have to go find it out for yourself. Being the first person to discover something, or work out how some part of the universe works is a pretty cool thought and we have the chance to do that as scientists.

My answer isn’t really fancy, but I just enjoy it. I like problem solving and learning new concepts.

At school I just enjoyed learning about how things worked, and having lessons where I could try things for myself and do experiments. At the start of my A-levels, I learned a bit about particle physics and how weird the universe can really be, and I found it totally fascinating. I was determined to discover more for myself!
