Good question. My favourite part is the patient interaction. There is a special area called nuclear medicine therapy, which involves giving the patient radiation to treat a variety of diseases. Part of my job is to provide radiation protection advice to patients. This involves being able to explain complex ideas in a clear and meaningful way, without scaring people! It is very rewarding.
