It’s worrying to think about it sometimes. More intense hurricanes because of warmer oceans which already cause a lot of damage to homes and buildings and lead to loss of life, more flooding which has had a big impact in the UK this past week if you’ve seen on the news people being rescued by boats from their homes, greater risk of wildfires in hotter drier regions, sea level rise which means a mass migration of people having to move away from low lying or coastal areas which is significant particularly to low-lying islands that would just disappear, habitat damage or shrinking to plants and animals, severe drought, and this has an effect on food supply. A combination of these events eventually lead to loss of life. I think it’s a really important issue but a change in the sources of energy we use is part of the solution.
