Hey. I might be bias, but I find my job very rewarding. Honestly, I feel very lucky to work in medical physics. I love using my physics knowledge to help people. One of my favourite parts of the job is the patient interaction, answering questions and helping them not worry. Every day I play a small role as part of a big team to help people.

Hey! I find my job incredibly rewarding – it’s really enjoyable working in a big team to take on new challenges together. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to play a small role in making a scientific breakthrough, when we measured something that no-one had ever seen before. At the time, it seemed like all our hard work had paid off at once, but it was really the result of everyone making just a little bit of progress every day!
Absolutely. It can be really hard work sometimes, especially when you’re running an experiment and things are going to plan, but it always feels worthwhile. It’s fun working in the lab and interacting with a team of young people. The reward comes at the end of an experiment when the results come in and you know you did a good job planning and setting everything up.
I find my job very rewarding as I normally get to see the results of my work which is very satisfying. Additionally I get to do a lot of outreach work visiting schools, conventions and careers events in order to run educational workshops or tell people about apprenticeships.
