Our universe is so enormous, it’s quite possible that aliens are out there somewhere! 🙂 Whether we will ever find them is another question – they might look totally different to life on Earth, or they might just be too far away for us to ever detect them. Recently, astronomers have started to discover planets outside our own solar system, and it’s amazing to imagine what they’ll find as we learn about these new worlds.

Like Mark says, the universe is MASSIVE, so it’s almost certain that there is some kind of life elsewhere than just on the Earth. If that life is as intelligent as humans, I’m not so sure, but it is a possibility. Unfortunately, I suspect that they are too far away to ever make contact and discover how life evolved in a completely different world.

Aliens is such an interesting concept. I always think about how life in our world evolved, each species had a starting point but diverged in so many different ways. There is a such a huge range of species to the point that 99% of species are extinct.

I often think about how conditions on other planets, and pure chance, allows evolution to happen on other planets. Are there worlds with just dinosaurs? Something more advanced than humans?

I think the probability of planet Earth being the only planet to contain life is too small. However, with how big the universe is, I am not sure we would ever be able to make contact or observe other species.
