• Question: can your work become boring or is it just full of surprises?

      Hi there! I think any job can be a bit boring sometimes, and this goes for cutting-edge physics experiments too. There are plenty of times when I’ve had to just sit patiently and repeat an experiment until we’ve collected all the data we needed. However, I’m very lucky that my job is usually really varied, and hardly ever gets boring like this. Sometimes I’ll be teaching students in the morning, and flying to another country to run an experiment by the afternoon!
