• Question: Best material to make a radiation-proof suit?

      Some people I work with have been looking into making an ‘Iron-Man style’ radiation proof suit. I don’t know how far they’ve got with those plans, but have a look at radiation proof fabrics. From having a look myself, there’s a material called Demron that’s lightweight enough to form a suit that protects against alpha, beta, gamma and X-rays so which would allow access to radioactive areas previously unsuitable for humans. I’m sure it’s still a work in progress though.
