About Me:
I am a final year Physics PhD student at Bristol University. I live alongside my very lively (and very large) hamster Teddy. I enjoy running, hiking, cooking and crafting.
-
My Typical Day:
I head into work at the physics labs in the university. A lab day can be cutting, polishing and preparing samples of my material to study its surface, and then using million pound, cutting-edge surface analysis techniques such as electron microscopes to study the behaviour of materials at some of the smallest scales possible. I might then head out with the office run club straight after work.
-
What I'd do with the prize money:
Fund 50 hours of student time and travel to head to schools and fairs with our existing nuclear outreach kits belonging to the South West Nuclear Hub.
